We are looking for a Senior Manager, Business Analytics to lead a team of talented analysts who turn data into actionable insights that shape NerdWallet’s strategic decisions. This role sits at the intersection of data, strategy, and innovation, partnering across the business to drive growth and efficiency through analytics.
The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader who can connect the dots between data and business outcomes, mentor a high-performing team, and inspire data-driven decision-making at every level of the organization.
This role reports to the Director, Business Analytics and works closely with leaders across Brand, Performance Marketing, Data Engineering, and Finance.
Where you can make an impact:Lead, coach, and develop a team of business analysts to deliver high-quality, actionable insights.
Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify key business questions and translate them into analytical strategies.
Define and interpret core KPIs that measure success across customer acquisition, retention, engagement, and financial performance.
Build and scale dashboards, reporting tools, and frameworks that help teams make faster, smarter decisions.
Analyze marketing and business performance across channels (paid, organic, email, affiliates, etc.) to optimize ROI and inform resource allocation.
Leverage data to understand the product and business ecosystem, quantify new opportunities, identify upcoming challenges, and shape product development.
Help develop a strategy and support leadership in prioritizing what to build and setting goals for execution.
Guide product teams using data and insights. You will focus on developing hypotheses and employing a varied toolkit of rigorous analytical approaches, different methodologies, frameworks, and technical approaches to test them.
Not just present data or tell data-driven stories but present insights and recommendations to convince and influence senior leadership with clarity and confidence.
Partner with Data Engineering to leverage infrastructure and data pipelines for scalable, repeatable analysis.
Stay current with evolving analytics tools, methodologies, and best practices to continually raise the bar for the team and function.

A strategic problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments and prioritizes effectively.
Passionate about using data to drive meaningful impact for consumers and the business.
7+ years in analytics, business intelligence, or a related data-driven role.
Proven experience leading analytics initiatives that delivered measurable business outcomes.
Proficiency in SQL and at least one data visualization tool such as Looker, Tableau, and Power BI.
Experience using R, Python, or similar tools for statistical analysis and modeling.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present to executives and non-technical audiences.
Deep understanding of fintech, consumer finance, or related industries.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Strong understanding of full-funnel marketing dynamics—with a deep understanding of user journey segmentation—from top-of-funnel acquisition and engagement, through mid-funnel nurturing and intent-building, to bottom-of-funnel conversion optimization.
Proven ability to leverage data-driven insights to calibrate messaging, channel mix, and campaign tactics across each stage to maximize ROI and accelerate growth.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics).
Experience working in a modern data environment (e.g., dbt, Snowflake, Mode, BigQuery).
Familiarity with experimentation frameworks (A/B testing) and growth analytics.
Past experience scaling analytics teams or functions in a high-growth startup.
This role will be remote (based in the U.S.).
