Job Description:
Vertex, Inc. seeks a Senior Manager – Application Development (King of Prussia, PA), to lead and manage multiple engineering scrum teams who are responsible for building and maintaining integration solutions for Vertex’s products.
Oversee the software development function including the implementation of business plans, policies, and procedures.
Build and maintain new existing integrations/connectors to all products in our product portfolio that are integral for customers to consume our end products.
Provide technical design and solutions to the product and business requirements for these integrations.
Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Managers to develop the roadmap for Vertex products.
Work closely with architecture, user experience, product, and engineering teams to ensure delivered products are in alignment with corporate strategy, engineering best practices, and the company’s high-quality standards.
Manage and coach team on all personnel related processes including hiring, performance management, employee relations, compensation and rewards, and employee development.
Determine appropriate resourcing of staff to achieve the team’s goals and objectives.
Prepare and manage budget as assigned for each project.
Analyze variances and initiate corrective actions to maximize operational performance.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field.
4 years of experience following the standards of REST and SOAP web services.
3 years of experience using AWS and cloud infrastructures.
3 years of experience performing SAFe Agile practices.
2 years of experience practicing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
2 years of experience using the .Net platform.
Eligible to work remotely 100% of time anywhere in the continental U.S.

In addition, as a part of our total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Vertex Bonus Plan (VOB), a role-specific sales commission/bonus, and/or equity grants.
