SENIOR MANAGER, AMAZON MEDIA & GROWTH
Location: Hoboken, NJ
Are you excited by the idea of shaping how millions of people discover and shop for everyday essentials? Do you enjoy combining hands on digital expertise with big picture growth strategy? If so, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact at scale.
We are looking for a Senior Manager of Amazon Media and Growth to lead the strategy and execution of our Amazon performance marketing. In this role, you will be the organization’s go to expert on Amazon media—guiding investment decisions, elevating performance, and ensuring our retail media efforts connect seamlessly to broader brand and commercial priorities.
You will join a collaborative, high energy team that values curiosity, accountability, and continuous learning. This is a role for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, influencing cross functional partners, and driving measurable results. It is also a chance to help shape the future of how our brands grow on one of the world’s most important retail platforms.
We are seeking a hands-on Amazon media expert who can both manage performance marketing execution and shape category-level growth strategy. This role will serve as the internal Amazon media authority — auditing performance, optimizing investments, and connecting retail media to broader brand and commercial plans.
What You’ll Do
Lead Performance Media Strategy and Execution
- Oversee strategy for Amazon Sponsored Ads and Amazon’s demand side platform, working closely with agency partners.
- Conduct hands on audits of campaigns, including structure, keyword strategy, bidding approach, budget allocation, and search term insights.
- Identify opportunities to improve visibility, strengthen keyword coverage, and balance defensive and growth driving tactics.
- Ensure a full funnel media approach that includes search, competitor conquesting, retargeting, and new customer acquisition.
- Guide agencies on budget pacing, efficiency versus growth trade offs, and performance metrics.
- Diagnose shifts in performance—such as changes in impressions, conversion rates, or product availability—and recommend solutions.
- Partner with sales and finance teams to understand weekly performance drivers and forecast media attributed sales.
- Shape Category and Growth Strategy
- Develop category level growth plans for Amazon, including assortment strategy, hero product focus, and pricing and pack architecture.
- Identify whitespace opportunities and competitive gaps.
- Translate search behavior and demand signals into actionable insights for category and brand teams.
- Inform innovation planning by sharing trends and unmet consumer needs.
- Build annual and quarterly media investment frameworks aligned to category priorities.
- Create performance dashboards for leadership and lead monthly business reviews for Amazon.
Connect Retail Media to Brand and Cross Channel Marketing
- Ensure Amazon media strategies align with broader brand campaigns and creative direction.
- Partner with brand, media, and shopper teams to identify opportunities for amplification on Amazon.
- Provide input into product detail page content, creative strategy, launch plans, and promotional approaches.
- Connect Amazon performance insights to the broader marketing learning agenda
What You Bring
- 5–8+ years of experience in Amazon performance marketing or retail media.
- Hands on experience managing campaigns in Amazon advertising platforms.
- Experience leading or managing external agencies.
- Strong understanding of keyword strategy, full funnel retail media, budget allocation, and new customer acquisition metrics.
- Experience working cross functionally with brand, sales, and finance teams.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to connect media decisions to business outcomes.
- Experience building strategy presentations for senior leadership.
Bonus Skills
- Experience in consumer packaged goods or consumer goods industries.
- Experience with Amazon Vendor Central.
- Familiarity with bid management tools such as Pacvue or Skai.
- Experience with performance analytics tools such as Stackline or Circana.
Why This Role Matters
Amazon is one of our most important growth engines, and this role sits at the center of how we accelerate that growth. You will influence major investment decisions, shape category strategies, and help our brands win in an increasingly competitive digital marketplace. You will also have the opportunity to mentor agency partners, collaborate with talented cross functional teams, and contribute to a culture that values innovation and continuous improvement.
If you’re energized by the intersection of data, creativity, and commercial impact, we’d love to meet you.
