Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, deployment, and optimization of artificial intelligence and machine learning models and enterprise application solutions in production
- Drive end-to-end delivery across artificial intelligence initiatives and broader engineering workstreams, including platform modernization, application development, and integration
- Apply advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques, including natural language processing, natural language understanding, semantic understanding, intent classification, computer vision, deep learning, and automatic speech recognition
- Translate experimental research and analytical insights into scalable, secure, and production-ready enterprise solutions
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance accountability for engineering managers and senior-level professional staff across artificial intelligence, machine learning, and traditional software development teams
- Partner with product, business, and technology leaders to align artificial intelligence and non-artificial intelligence engineering initiatives with measurable business outcomes
- Communicate complex technical, analytical, and artificial intelligence-driven insights clearly to leadership and non-technical stakeholders
- Strategically use artificial intelligence technologies to solve business problems, unlock new platform capabilities, and deliver tangible business value
- Champion artificial intelligence as a core driver of the team's success, proactively shaping how artificial intelligence is developed, deployed, and responsibly used with transparency, fairness, and accountability
- Integrate enterprise artificial intelligence tools, establish artificial intelligence development goals in team plans, and align hiring with evolving artificial intelligence competencies to actively remove barriers to adoption
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, such as a bachelor's degree or 4+ years of software or artificial intelligence engineering experience
- 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering and enterprise application delivery
- 3+ years of experience directly leading and managing engineering teams, including software engineers, artificial intelligence and machine learning engineers, or technical managers
- Hands-on engineering experience with backend .NET / .NET Core services and Angular front-end frameworks
- Hands-on experience developing, integrating, and deploying artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions, such as natural language processing, natural language understanding, or deep learning, into a production environment
- Experience working with relational databases, including MySQL, and version control or collaborative continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows using GitHub
- Experience working with large-scale computing frameworks and enterprise data systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree, such as a master's degree or doctorate, in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field
- Experience with advanced artificial intelligence technologies, such as computer vision, automatic speech recognition, and semantic modeling
- Solid experience driving platform modernization and engineering best practices within healthcare or complex software ecosystems
- Proven track record of translating research findings into large-scale, production-ready enterprise solutions
- Proven exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
