Be the backbone of Atlassian's Agentic AI Integration Products : The Agentic AI Integrations team is responsible for the industry-leading Rovo MCP Server, Agent to Agent integrations as well as on the mission to catapult Atlassian value by leveraging cutting-edge AI capabilities like Claude Skills, ChatGPT/Claude Apps etc., essentially we will be working on anything and everything with AI integrations into the Atlassian ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Build, coach, and mentor a team of software engineers.
- Technical Strategy: Deliver foundational components for multi-agent systems and lead the adoption of protocols like MCP and A2A.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Platform, and Data Science teams to embed AI capabilities across Atlassian.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain high-reliability services (4 9s SLA) while optimizing for cost and latency.
- Industry Influence: Contribute to open specifications and represent Atlassian in AI interoperability working groups.
Requirements
- Experience: 8-10+ years in software development with at least 4+ years in people management.
- AI Expertise: Hands-on experience with AI/ML platform engineering, model serving, or agent frameworks (LangChain, Semantic Kernel, etc.).
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Go.
- Systems Thinking: Experience with high-scale distributed systems, vector databases, and observability pipelines.

Zone A: $209,700 - $273,775
Zone B: $188,730 - $246,398

- Background in enterprise integration patterns, API governance, or developer experience platforms.
