As Service Express has been growing, so have our teams to support our expansion! As such, we are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our finance team in a new role of Senior Manager of Accounts Receivable for North America. This critical role will be responsible for driving process improvements, managing disputes and issue resolution, ensuring efficient and effective billing, and overseeing cash applications and collections.
This position will report to the Global Corporate Controller and oversee two managers. It’s an opportunity to help drive initiatives that will bring these departments to the next level as the company continues to grow.
Here’s what this position is all about:
- Provide overall supervision of the accounts receivable function including invoicing, collections, and cash applications
- Collaborate with Service Express sales operation teams to ensure proper billing process execution in line with company policy and contract requirements
- Identify opportunities to optimize the AR process, streamline workflows, implement automation, and enhance efficiency in billing, disputes management, account reconciliation, cash applications, and collections
- Lead by example and be actively involved in day-to-day AR activities, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, cash applications, and collections efforts
- Oversee the resolution of customer disputes and discrepancies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues promptly
- Proper data setup and maintenance of customer accounts
- Perform accurate and timely recording of customer payments, applying funds to customer accounts and managing unapplied cash
- Provide insights for optimizing the company’s cash utilization and working capital
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective collections strategies, monitoring and reducing accounts receivable delinquencies
- Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable
- Provide regular reporting and analysis of AR data, including aging reports, cash flow forecasting, and DSO analysis
- Collaborate with other finance and operational teams to streamline AR-related processes and foster effective communication
Here’s what we are hoping you can bring to the Service Express team:
- 7+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable management
- Strong understanding of AR principles, internal controls, and compliance requirements
- Hands-on experience with accounts receivable systems and ERP platforms
- Experience with Great Plains and CollectIT is preferred
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing AR best practices
