We now have an opportunity for a talented Senior Management Accountant to join the Finance team at RAC Insurance. This role will involve leading activities that deliver RAC Insurance’s management reporting and analysis objectives, including facilitating the completion and delivery of management reports, the annual budget process, forecasting as required and any ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.
This role is offered on a 1-year maximum term contract.
What will you be doing?
- Leading all relevant activities to deliver monthly Management reporting and analysis on time and to a high standard, including Board reporting
- Leading and preparing activities related to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Partner with business stakeholders to ensure financial information is meeting requirements, emerging trends are identified including the analysis of financial result drivers
- Fosters and thrives in an environment of continuous improvement, working closely and coaching team members to improve insights and forecasting activities
- Delivering ad hoc projects and responsibilities as assigned by Finance Managers and other senior stakeholders.
What are we looking for?
- CA / CPA qualified.
- Relevant tertiary qualification (minimum Bachelor’s degree).
- Financial Services or Insurance industry experience is highly desirable.
- Minimum 3 years in a senior accounting role within a finance function
- People development experience, leadership experience favourable but not essential
- Well-developed Financial Systems experience, particularly within the Microsoft Office suite, General Ledger and Budget and Forecasting systems.
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Excellent analytical skills. Ability to analyse, interpret and communicate complex information to a diverse audience
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate, engage and influence effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel user.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision with demonstrated initiative.
- Ability to quickly respond to situations as they arise and to work to strict deadlines.
- Ability to operate effectively in a Values/Behaviour based organisation and role model Behaviours.
