About the role and what you'll do

The Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance, and driving informed decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with Finance and operational teams, you will provide financial insight, maintain strong controls, support compliance activities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

· Prepare monthly management accounts, including month-end close activities, reconciliations, and financial analysis
· Analyse financial performance, investigate variances, and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to management
· Support budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and ad hoc business analysis
· Partner with Operations to monitor manufacturing performance, production costs, inventory valuation, and capital expenditure
· Maintain the integrity of financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards, VAT, tax, and statutory requirements
· Support internal and external audits and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of financial controls and processes
· Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and other stakeholders to provide financial guidance and support business objectives
· Support ERP system improvements, finance transformation initiatives, and other continuous improvement projects
· Assist with payroll accounting, treasury activities, and cash flow reporting as required

About you

Experience and knowledge

· Fully qualified accountant
· 4+ years' experience in accounting, finance, or management accounting
· Experience in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
· Understanding of financial controls, compliance, audit, and statutory reporting requirements
· Manufacturing industry experience is an advantage
· Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar
· Strong Excel skills and good written and spoken English
· Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is considered as an advantage

Skills Required

  • Fully qualified accountant
  • 4+ years' experience in accounting, finance, or management accounting
  • Experience in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Understanding of financial controls, compliance, audit, and statutory reporting requirements
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Strong Microsoft Excel / Advanced Excel skills
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Manufacturing industry / manufacturing finance experience
  • Business partnering and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with payroll accounting, treasury activities, and cash flow reporting
  • Problem solving, communication, and attention to detail
