VFI seeks a Senior Logistician to support the 17th Training Group (TRG) to ensure IT assets remain audit-ready, compliant, and aligned with mission requirements. The Senior Logistician will coordinate with the Change Management team and key stakeholders in the implementation and enforcement of standardized asset management practices.
The Senior Logistician supports the accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness of all IT assets recorded in the organization’s ServiceNow HAM and SAM databases. The qualified candidate’s primary focus areas will be data verification, regulatory compliance and reporting while ensuring software certifications are tracked, software entitlements are correctly assigned, and asset records are consistent with DoD requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Senior Logistician will:

Coordinate with the Configuration/Change Management team to ensure asset records align with approved configurations, avoid redundant work, maintain data integrity, and prevent data compromise.

Coordinate with the Logistics Specialist, IT Property Custodians (ITPCs), and Unit Software License Managers (USLMs) to verify asset records.

Monitor and track compliance with asset lifecycle management policies, track software certifications, and prepare Certificate to Field (CTF) submissions.

Maintain accurate hardware and software asset records within the organization’s ServiceNow platform and comply with DoD/Air Force policies.

Ensure all hardware and software asset records and relevant information are updated and complete and implement data integrity controls.

Conduct regular compliance reviews to maintain audit readiness, ensure backups of all HAM and SAM records, and track hardware and software lifecycle milestones.

Coordinate changes to HAM and SAM records with Configuration/Change Management and collaborate to ensure data accuracy and policy alignment.

Coordinate with ITPCs, Logistics, USLMs, and other key stakeholders to validate data accuracy.

Provide regular reports on compliance risks, discrepancies, and certification renewals.

Review and verify compliance audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of asset records in ServiceNow HAM and SAM.

Lead the performance of compliance audits by comparing asset records with the following sources:

Hardware inventory reports from ITPC and software inventory reports from USLM.

Automated scanning tools (e.g., PDQ Inventory, ACAS scans).

Asset records in the ServiceNow ITAM.

Utilize the organization’s ServiceNow platform to track and manage software entitlements, ensuring all records are complete and accurate.

Verify and maintain key fields in the ServiceNow SAM database.

Track software certifications and prepare and submit Certificate to Field (CTF) request packages in coordination with the Information System Security Office (ISSO).
Required Qualifications:

Current Active TS/SCI DoD Security clearance.

At least seven (7) years of relevant experience in military, government, or civilian roles.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to lead a team, collaborate effectively, and manage multiple tasks in a structured environment.

Great written and verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor in all situations.
Preferred Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience managing IT assets for a corporate or governmental organization.

Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problems.

Attention to detail; solid organizational and time management skills.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a natural ability to work well with others.
