Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Tech Lead with deep Insurance domain expertise and a passion for leveraging Artificial Intelligence across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This individual will lead the design, development, and delivery of modern enterprise solutions while driving the adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices that improve speed, quality, innovation, and business outcomes.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Application Development: Assist in building and maintaining full-stack applications using modern frameworks and best practices.
- Adopt new technologies, including Python, React, Node.js, and AWS Serverless.
- Drive adoption of AI tools throughout the SDLC to improve engineering productivity and solution quality.
- Utilize modern AI platforms such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and similar tools for software design and development.
- Vibe Coding & Rapid Innovation
- Demonstrate expertise in vibe coding and AI-assisted development methodologies.
- Rapidly build Proof of Concepts (POCs), Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), and prototypes using AI-enabled development platforms.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and AI capabilities and recommend practical applications for business value.
- Promote a fail-fast experimentation culture while maintaining enterprise-grade engineering standards.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of software engineering and application delivery experience.
- 5+ years in a Technical Lead, Solution Lead, or Engineering Lead capacity.
- Strong experience delivering complex enterprise solutions within the Property & Casualty (P&C), Specialty, or Commercial Insurance industry.
- Proven experience leading global onshore/offshore delivery teams.
- Hands-on experience with modern software engineering practices and cloud-native development.
- AWS Serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB) for cloud-native solutions.
- Modern application architecture and design.
- API-first and event-driven architectures.
- Microservices and distributed systems.
- Cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
- CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Integration technologies and enterprise data patterns.
- Database design and optimization.
- Application security and secure coding practices.

The below annualized base pay range is a broad range based on analysis of similar positions in the market. The actual base pay for the position may be above or below he listed range and determined by a number of considerations, including but now limited to complexity, location, and scope of the role, along with experience, skills, education, training, and other conditions of employment. Base salary represents one compensation of Allied World comprehensive total reward package, which may also include annual incentive compensation rewards.
$150,000 - $160,000

Skills Required
- 3-5 years of experience in IT Support, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or IT Operations
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory, and Windows desktop operating systems
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot
- Experience with the ServiceNow IT Service Management platform
- Experience supporting Active Directory, identity management platforms, and user access administration
- Experience supporting hardware asset management and endpoint lifecycle processes
- Working knowledge of VPN technologies, endpoint security tools, remote support applications, and mobile device management platforms
- Experience supporting enterprise-level software deployments, upgrades, and migrations
- Experience supporting virtual desktop technologies, including AVD and Windows 365
- Okta administration experience
