Job description
This role involves leading the local Data Science team while working closely with global counterparts to drive the development of AI and data science solutions. The position requires providing technical leadership and strategic direction across customer projects and internal initiatives, ensuring solutions are scalable, impactful, and aligned with business objectives. The leader fosters innovation, promotes best practices in data science and AI, and encourages collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within multicultural, globally distributed teams.

- Guide, mentor, and manage team members to support professional development and maintain high performance standards

- Design and optimize algorithms, heuristics, and machine learning models to solve real-world problems

- Lead projects that collect, process, and analyze large datasets to uncover insights and enable data-driven decisions
- Develop and implement algorithms, heuristics, machine learning models, and generative AI solutions
- Prototype, train, evaluate, deploy, and continuously monitor AI solutions in production environments
- Communicate insights effectively through visualizations, dashboards, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences

Skills Required
- Proven experience leading and mentoring data science teams
- Hands-on experience designing, optimizing, and validating machine learning models and heuristics
- Experience prototyping, training, evaluating, deploying, and monitoring AI/ML solutions in production
- Experience developing and implementing generative AI solutions
- Ability to work with large datasets to collect, process, and analyze data
