The Role
Lead analog/mixed-signal circuit design for HBM products: design, simulate (HSPICE/FINESIM/Verilog), optimize layout and EM/IR, validate reliability, manage tape-outs and layout flows, integrate with PDN, mentor teams, and apply AI tools to improve PPA and delivery.

What's Encouraged Daily:
Contribute to the development of new HBM products by assisting with the overall design, and layout.• Interpret product specifications and design circuits to meet the required functionality.• Design, implementation, and improvement of Complex Analog Mixed Circuits such as CMOS Amplifiers, Comparators, Bandgap references, V2I converters, LDOs, charge pumps, Oscillators, DLL, IO circuits (DDR/LPDDR), Delays, Process and temperature sensors in advanced semiconductor process nodes for advanced High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) products• Integration of modules with Power delivery network and propose design solution for optimum performance• Deep understanding of Array and its peripheral circuits.• Driving innovation into the future Memory generations within a dynamic work environment• Validate & optimize design for reliability (Device stress, Aging effect)• EM/IR simulation, optimize layout to achieve best circuit performance• Custom digital circuit design & validation• Parasitic modeling and assisting in design validation, reticle experiments and required tape-out revisions• Overseeing and managing the layout process including floor-planning, placement, and routing• Performing verification processes with modeling and simulation using industry standard simulators• Contributing to cross group communication to work towards standardization and group success• Working with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration, and Product Engineering groups to ensure accurate manufacturability of product• Proactively solicit guidance from Standards, CAD, modeling, and verification groups to improve the design quality• Participate in new circuit conception and design as needed• Perform circuit simulations using standard industry simulators such as FINESIM, HSPICE, and VERILOG• Responsible for reliability and degradation verification.• Assist in design validation, reticle experiments, and required tape-out revisions• Contributes expert technical knowledge to advance innovative technical solutions• Provides advice and counsel to senior management on significant technical issues
Oversee the layout process• Help floor-planning process, including placement and routing optimization• Optimize design rules for cost, performance, and functionality• Import layout parasitic information into the circuit simulation environment
Maintain Technical Expertise and Provide Training• Contribute to cross-group communication to work towards standardization and group success• Aid in design documentation and communicating best-known practices to the entire department• Participate in continuing education and competitor analysis• Proactively solicit feedback from Standards, CAD, modeling, and verification groups to ensure the design quality• Drive innovation into the future Memory generations within a dynamic work environment

Also, strong AI proficiency, a solid understanding of agentic AI models, and effective use of tools such as Claude are expected to significantly improve engineering efficiency, enhance PPA (Power, Performance, Area) optimization, and accelerate overall delivery timelines.

Skills Required

  • Design experience with complex analog mixed-signal circuits (CMOS amplifiers, comparators, bandgap refs, V2I, LDOs, charge pumps, oscillators, DLLs, IO circuits)
  • Experience with IO/PHY circuits for DDR/LPDDR
  • Experience developing/designing for advanced semiconductor process nodes and HBM product families
  • Layout and physical design experience including floor-planning, placement, routing, and PDN integration
  • EM/IR simulation and layout optimization experience
  • Parasitic modeling, extraction, and using extracted parasitics in circuit simulations
  • Proficiency with circuit simulators/tools such as FINESIM and HSPICE
  • Experience with Verilog for custom digital circuit design and validation
  • Reliability and degradation verification experience (device stress, aging effects)
  • Tape-out, reticle experiment support, and design revision experience
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Test, Process Integration, Probe, Assembly, Product Engineering, and Marketing for manufacturability
  • Experience mentoring, contributing to standards, documentation, and training teams
  • Strong AI proficiency, understanding of agentic AI models, and practical use of tools such as Claude to improve engineering workflows and PPA
  • Familiarity with IC CAD/layout tool flows and verification processes
