Senior Lead Business Analyst, Loss Control
Fully Remote United States

Help insurers turn risk insight into better underwriting decisions.

At Majesco, we're looking for a Senior Lead Business Analyst who knows Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance and enjoys turning complex business needs into configured, working solutions.

You'll lead the business analysis on implementations of the Majesco Loss Control platform, the Software as a Service (SaaS) solution carriers use to manage loss control surveys, risk inspections, premium audits, and the field and vendor work behind them. Your work helps insurers collect better risk information, run more efficient field operations, and give underwriters what they need to make sound decisions.

This is more than a requirements-gathering role. You'll guide customers from discovery through go-live, protect scope, and help shape how both the product and the delivery method evolve.

About the Role

As a Senior Lead Business Analyst, you'll be the business and functional lead on customer implementations, from fast deployments for carriers switching from competing systems to multi-phase enterprise programs.

You'll translate each customer's Statement of Work (SOW) and business processes into clear requirements, solution designs, and configuration direction, and make sure what gets delivered traces back to what was agreed.

You'll partner with customers, Project Managers, configuration and development teams, Quality Assurance (QA), Product Management, and Support, across onshore and offshore teams. You'll also raise the bar for the business analysis practice by mentoring other analysts and contributing to standard methods and templates. This role reports to the Director of Services, Loss Control.

What You'll Do

  • Lead discovery sessions with customers to understand their loss control, inspection, premium audit, and underwriting workflows, and document current and future state processes.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications that configuration and development teams can build from without rework.
  • Identify missing use cases, edge cases, and open questions early, and drive them to resolution so projects move forward without hidden unknowns.
  • Own scope at the requirement level: trace each requirement from the SOW through solution design, flag deviations, and resolve them with the Project Manager through the right path, whether absorbing, a change order, or escalation.
  • Design and direct configuration of the Majesco Loss Control platform, and define requirements for integrations, data migration, and reporting with technical teams.
  • Plan and support testing, including test scenarios and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and confirm delivered solutions meet requirements before go-live.
  • Turn delivered functionality into clear, easy-to-follow documentation and training materials for customer end users.
  • Spot unmet customer needs during delivery and bring them to Services leadership, Product Management, and Sales as expansion opportunities.
  • Mentor and review the work of other business analysts, and build expert command of the platform, including advanced configuration certification.

What You Bring

We're looking for someone who combines deep business analysis skill with P&C insurance knowledge and the judgment to lead.

  • 7+ years of business analysis experience, including 3+ years as a Senior or Lead Business Analyst on enterprise software implementations, preferably in insurance.
  • Knowledge of P&C insurance operations, including underwriting, loss control, risk inspection, or premium audit.
  • Strong experience gathering and documenting requirements, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, mapping processes, and writing functional specifications.
  • Experience configuring, or directing the configuration of, a highly configurable SaaS platform.
  • Working knowledge of REST (Representational State Transfer) and SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) web services and the role they play in integrations and software delivery.
  • An understanding of relational database concepts and data mapping.
  • Experience in a professional services or client-facing delivery environment, including tracking time against project budgets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills, with the confidence to lead customer discussions, challenge assumptions, and hold scope.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up across multiple concurrent projects, with the ability to work independently.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bonus Points

Experience in any of these areas will help you stand out, but you don't need to check every box.

  • Commercial lines underwriting, risk engineering, or loss control field operations.
  • Survey vendor management, inspection ordering, or premium audit workflows.
  • Insurance carrier implementations, including replacing a legacy or competing system.
  • Data migration, field mapping, and data validation.
  • SaaS platforms built on .NET.
  • Requirements traceability, scope management, or change control practices.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, or similar tools.
  • AI-assisted business analysis, workflow automation, or insurance digital transformation.
  • Industry or professional designations such as CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), AINS (Associate in General Insurance), or CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional).

Why Join Majesco?

Help modernize the front end of insurance.

Your work shapes how insurers gather risk information and act on it, early in the policy lifecycle.

Lead, not just document.

You'll own the business analysis on customer implementations, influence product direction, and help shape how the team delivers.

Work at the intersection of insurance and technology.

You'll collaborate with insurance experts, product leaders, and engineers on a platform carriers rely on every day.

Take ownership and keep growing.

You'll have dedicated time to learn, build deep platform expertise, and grow as a leader in a remote-first culture.

As a member of a rapidly growing and dynamic organization, the successful candidate must be flexible and willing to take on new tasks and responsibilities as business needs evolve. The company reserves the right to vary, change, or update job duties and responsibilities based on business requirements. This role may require shifting priorities, learning new technologies, and contributing to projects outside of the initial scope.
