- Design and develop scalable, cloud-native microservices using Java (17/21) and the Spring Boot framework.
- Utilize the Helix Platform to build, package, and deploy standalone components, reusable blueprints, and serverless Knative Functions.
- Ensure clean code architecture, adhering to enterprise design patterns, SOLID principles, and RESTful API standards.
- Deploy, manage, and scale microservices on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Kubernetes.
- Configure and manage service-to-service communication, traffic routing, and observability using Service Mesh (Istio-based control plane).
- Define and maintain Helm charts for consistent, repeatable application deployments across environments.Database Integration & Management
- Integrate microservices with Citi's Database as a Service (DBaaS) platform.
- Work with relational and non-relational databases, including:
- PostgreSQL as a Service (PGaaS) (utilizing PG Vector for advanced search capabilities).
- MongoDB as a Service (MaaS) (leveraging multi-datacenter high availability and sharding).
- Oracle as a Service (OraaS) (ensuring high-availability and automated scaling).
- Implement robust application security and credential management using HashiCorp Vault.
- Configure and manage Vault roles (Kubernetes ServiceAccounts, AppRoles, and PKI roles) to secure application secrets.
- Utilize Vault Agent sidecars in Kubernetes/OpenShift to dynamically inject and render secrets into application pods.
- Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Lightspeed Enterprise (Tekton and Harness) and Lightspeed Classic (Jenkins shared libraries and uDeploy).
- Integrate automated quality and security gates into the build process, including SonarQube for code quality, Checkmarx for static analysis, and Snyk for vulnerability scanning.
- Manage source code repositories using Bitbucket and GitHub Enterprise, adhering to branch protection rules and pull request workflows.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Java Expertise: 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java (17 or higher) and Spring Boot / Spring Cloud.
- Containerization: Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift (OCP).
- Service Mesh: Hands-on experience with Istio or equivalent Service Mesh technologies for traffic management and observability.
- Database Systems: Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Oracle.
