Senior Java Engineer
We at ING are looking for a passionate Senior Java Engineer
ING is looking for a Senior Java Engineer with at least 5 years of experience who will be joining an experienced DevOps team within the Global IT Operations tribe of Infrastructure and Engineering.
Roles and responsibilities
You will be working in a DevOps squad on a global platform. This means working on cross-border solutions and providing services to ING worldwide. You will be working on the Availability solutions within ING on a global scale, using Java 17 Spring Boot as the main source.

First and foremost, you need to be a Java coder with at least 5 years of experience, have an interest in IT security, and develop with reliability in mind. You are transparent and not shy to stand up for your own opinions. You have an instinctive need to share knowledge and continuously improve the team and yourself.
Required skills

Proficiency in software development using Java

Experience in software engineering using Spring Boot framework

Secure and clean coding with knowledge of developing automated and unit tests

Familiarity with source control and CI/CD tools such as Git and Azure DevOps

Foster a collaborative scrum team environment and actively learn from your colleagues
Good to have

Knowledge of Oracle and Cassandra

Affinity with availability monitoring

Build microservices-based applications and Rest API's

JavaScript for front-end development

Kubernetes and OpenShift
