We're seeking someone to join our Security Reference Data Tech team as a Senior Java Developer in Institutional Securities Tech.
The team particularly focuses on exchange listed product and pricing reference data, working with vendors like Reuters and Bloomberg as well as directly with exchange data from over 100 worldwide venues to service systems throughout the firm with critical real-time data on millions of products through a variety of platforms from mainframe to cloud and everything in between.

This is a Senior Java Developer position at Vice President level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs and requirements.

What you'll do in the role:
Collaborate closely with geographically dispersed teams, specially teams in New York, London and India
Have an opportunity to work directly with the users, business analyst, translate business requirements into the technical architecture and manage overall deliverables
Build and utilize knowledge of listed product lifecycles and front to back processing of flow through the firm to create scalable, intuitive enterprise wide data models and services
Implement appropriate caching and messaging technologies
Manage team of 2-3 team members
What you'll bring to the role:
At least 7+ years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science
Ample understanding of Java technology
Knowledge of open source frameworks: Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud)
Integration middleware products, Service Oriented Architecture
Experience in Cloud Native design including microservices, SPARK, Kafka
Experience on any Public Cloud Offering (AWS, Azure, Google)
Database Development and Debugging – Stored Procedures (Sybase and/or DB2)
NoSQL Experience preferably MongoDB
Database Design and Modeling
Understanding of python is nice to have
Familiarity with Agile & Devops is a considerable advantage
