About this role
The Portfolio Services team builds and operates a unified, API‑first portfolio services platform that enables portfolio onboarding, lifecycle management, and intelligent self‑service across Aladdin and Enterprise. The team owns critical portfolio domain capabilities including portfolio setup, validation, relationships, grouping, maintenance, and automation, supporting thousands of internal and external users.
Team’s mission is to deliver a unified, intelligent portfolio services platform that:
- Enables seamless portfolio onboarding and maintenance
- Provides API‑driven, self‑service capabilities
- Reduces manual operations through structured automation and AI‑assisted workflows
- Scales reliably across products, environments, and clients
We are seeking a senior full‑stack engineer with strong backend and distributed systems expertise, who actively leverages AI‑assisted development and agentic workflows to accelerate delivery and improve engineering quality.
You will design, build, and operate high‑scale systems while helping shape how AI is responsibly integrated into enterprise software development.
Requirements:
- At least 7+ years hands-on experience developing complex enterprise software systems.
- Experience using AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., generative AI coding assistants, automated test generation, intelligent code review systems).
- Demonstrated interest in exploring and applying AI/ML or LLM‑based solutions in enterprise software
- Strong programming skills in Java
- Strong knowledge of Open-Source technology stack (Spring, Hibernate, Maven, JUnit, etc.).
- Great analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject area
- Knowledge or interest in finance, quant models
- Excellent investigative, problem-solving and communication skills
- An ability to translate real business problems into technical solutions
- Ability and willingness to learn fast, multi-task, self-motivate and pick up new things easily.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with team members in a multi-office, multi-country environment.
- Deliver high efficiency, high availability, concurrent and fault tolerant software systems.
- Work with product management and business users to define the roadmap for the product.
- Identify and drive opportunities to incorporate AI and intelligent automation into the Portfolio Services platform, improving developer experience, reducing manual operations, and enhancing user outcomes.
- Lead the adoption of AI‑augmented engineering practices and ensure resilience and stability by including the use of generative AI coding assistants, automated test generation, intelligent documentation, and AI‑enhanced observability.
- Design and develop innovative solutions to complex problems, identifying issues and roadblocks.
- Drive a strong culture by bringing principles of inclusion and diversity to the team and setting the tone through specific recruiting, management actions and employee engagement.
Good to have:
- Experience architecting or integrating AI‑powered components (e.g., workflow automation, recommendation systems, anomaly detection, LLM‑based services).
- Knowledge and experience developing and working with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Sybase)
- Experience developing using NoSQL and distributed storage technologies (e.g. Cassandra, HBase)
- Experience with Cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud
- Experience with DevOps and tools like Azure DevOps
- Team leading experience
- Experience with frontend technologies and the Angular framework is a plus
