About the Role:
We are looking for an engineering mindset to bring fresh ideas from various areas such as large-scale platform design, analytics, data structures, security practices, large-scale data retrieval and processing environments. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be working closely with product managers, QA engineers, software engineers, and will be responsible for designing, building, deploying and scaling various products under the umbrella of CleverTap Platform.
What will you do:
-Solve complex data problems, focusing on TesseractDB™ (our in house, time series analytics database)
-Assist teams in designing scalable architectures
-Optimise database performance using profilers
-Optimise existing processes
What are we looking for?
Must have:
- 4 to 6 years of experience in back-end development (designing, developing, testing and deploying large scale applications with one of the JVM based languages or other server side technologies)
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Good knowledge of data structures
- Hands-on experience in multi threading and concurrency
Good to have:
- Hands-on experience in MongoDB, Redis, Azure and AWS
- Experience with Java’s garbage collectors
Measures of Success:
- Able to find and optimise code using various tools
- Able to articulate the need to introduce new processes and tools
- Able to automate repeatable processes
