We are looking for a Senior developer to join the Cloud WAF R&D group, located in Rehovot. The team develops cloud-based solutions to manage and optimize the website protection orchestration. Imperva Cloud WAF (Web Application Firewall) is a key component of Imperva’s offering, providing enterprise-class protection against the most sophisticated security threats.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop large-scale, scalable, distributed backend services.
Take technical ownership of features and components from design through production.
Solve complex performance, scalability, and reliability challenges in distributed systems.
Influence architecture and technical direction.
Leverage AI tools and practices to improve engineering productivity and quality.
Requirements:
B.SC in Computer Science or equivalent
7+ years of backend development experience with strong Java/Spring boot expertise
Experience developing large-scale, distributed SaaS/cloud systems.
Strong system design skills and experience with distributed systems
Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS) and Kubernetes – an advantage.
Strong ownership, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
Passion for modern engineering practices and adopting AI technologies
