Senior Application AnalystOverviewThe Senior Application Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day support, optimization, and enhancement of enterprise software applications. This role partners closely with business and clinical stakeholders to analyze workflows, evaluate system releases and new products, and recommend solutions that optimize processes, improve system utilization, and reduce operational costs.
This position applies advanced application and domain knowledge to perform workflow assessments, define functional requirements, and support system builds, upgrades, and enhancements. The Senior Application Analyst leads testing efforts, manages incidents and changes, and provides on-call support for application-related issues. Working independently with limited supervision, this role also oversees smaller projects or components of larger initiatives, coordinates application release planning, and mentors lower-level analysts as part of a cross-functional team.
EducationBachelor’s Degree (preferred )
Experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree:
5+ years of relevant experience with a degree
7+ years of relevant experience without a degree
No specific certification or licensure requirements
Experience5+ years of relevant application support or analyst experience with a degree, or 7+ years without a degree
Experience supporting software application builds, upgrades, patches, and system enhancements
Proven ability to perform and document workflow assessments and translate business or clinical needs into functional system requirements
Experience developing and executing system test plans, including documenting test progress and results
Experience with problem, incident, and change management, including service request handling and on-call support
Demonstrated ability to manage small projects or components of larger projects, including coordinating application releases and implementations
Strong communication skills to effectively convey system issues, requirements, upgrades, and enhancements to technical and non-technical stakeholders
