Job Description

-Supports network architecture consultants by preparing detailed specifications and documentation from high-level designs | Plans, researches, evaluates, designs and develops network systems by applying engineering, hardware and software design theories and principles to develop a compatible system infrastructure in line with organization strategies.

-Designs, analyzes, plans and modifies network components supporting customer communication implementation activities.

-Develops and evaluates network performance criteria and measurement methods.

-Prepares the analysis of the short-term or long-term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission and signaling. Conducts network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies.

-Develops alternative routing scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities.

-Conducts economic and population growth studies to determine impact on network capacity and development plan projections.

Basic Requirements

• Good understanding and experience with network and Wireless LAN (WLAN) infrastructure. 

• Familiar with various mobile platforms, desktop operating systems (Windows, MAC, Linux, Android and IOS), networks, and security setups.

• Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols TCP/IP and WLAN standards 802.11.

• LAN / WAN configuration to support wireless networks. Port configuration and switch interconnections and configurations for local networks.

• Ability to use enterprise monitoring tools (Solarwinds, nGenious)

• Experience with network security and compliance with appropriate security configuration standards.

• Device and support radio frequency (RF) link performance, reliability, and quality and support WLAN RF plan and site survey tools (e.g. Ekahau).

• Ability to follow system standards, create and maintain comprehensive documentation and diagrams.

• Ability to learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.

• Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.

• Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.

• A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and collaboration skills, dependable and flexible when necessary.
