About the Role

The Senior IT Consultant is the technical backbone of our service delivery team. You are the person our technicians escalate to when things get hard, and you are the person our clients trust to run the room. You own accounts. You build things. You solve problems that others can't.

This is not a role for someone who maintains what is already there. We need someone who has rolled up their sleeves and built systems from the ground up, navigated environments that were a mess when they arrived, and left them significantly better.

You'll work directly with our IT Manager and take ownership of a portfolio of client accounts, handling them at a high level while collaborating with our technicians on day-to-day execution. You will be the buffer that keeps the most complex work from flowing back up, and will help up-level the team around you.

  • Compensation: We offer a compensation range of $95,000-110,000 (+ annual bonus) for this role. Where you land depends on your experience with our preferred tech stacks and the tools you have deep working knowledge about (ie more than just administration).

  • Location: This position requires you to be onsite at our HQ or client offices in San Francisco. We are unable to offer relocation at this time.

  • Sponsorship: Network Right is not currently able to provide visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

What You Will Do

  • Own a portfolio of client accounts at a senior level, serving as the primary point of contact and running client syncs with confidence

  • Serve as the escalation point for our technicians on complex technical issues across MDM, identity, networking, and cloud platforms

  • Build and configure systems from scratch or lead significant infrastructure rebuilds, not just maintain what is already in place

  • Administer and optimize identity platforms, particularly Okta, including workflows and automations beyond basic user and group management

  • Lead MDM deployments and policy configuration across Jamf, Kandji, Intune, or similar, with the ability to build from the ground up

  • Manage both Mac and Windows environments comfortably, with deep expertise in at least one

  • Drive SaaS administration across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and the broader client stack

  • Develop onboarding, offboarding, and automation workflows that create real operational leverage

  • Support networking infrastructure, troubleshooting, and standardization across client environments

  • Contribute to documentation, compliance readiness, and process building in a way that scales

What We Are Looking For

  • 4+ years of hands-on IT experience in a fast-paced, multi-client environment

  • You have built IAM workflows, configured automations, and done more than create users and groups

  • MDM experience where you were the person who built it, not just the person who inherited it

  • Deep working knowledge of either Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, with the ability to go well beyond basic administration

  • Strong Mac and Windows proficiency; Mac-only or Windows-only comfort will be a gap

  • Networking fundamentals solid enough to troubleshoot and configure in a wide range of environments

  • Experience running client-facing calls and communicating confidently with non-technical stakeholders

  • A genuine ownership mindset: you identify problems, you solve them, and you do not wait to be told what to do

  • Comfort with ambiguity and an ability to figure things out when documentation is incomplete or the answer is not obvious

Nice to Have, but don't let this stop you from applying!

  • Experience working at an MSP, start-up, or multi-client environment

  • Familiarity with Azure AD / Entra ID and conditional access policies

  • SOC2 or HIPAA compliance exposure

  • Experience managing or mentoring junior technicians

  • Certifications such as Network+, Security+, or platform-specific credentials
