Stenn are looking for a Senior IT Administrator. Could this be you?
The Role:
As a Senior IT Administrator, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless technology operations. With at least 7+ years of experience, you'll bring expertise in areas ranging from operating systems and networking to security and software support.Your responsibilities will encompass system maintenance, network setup, security protocols, and providing top-notch technical support. Your organisational skills, combined with a proactive approach to disaster recovery and security, will be instrumental in safeguarding our IT landscape. If you're a tech-savvy problem solver with a knack for prioritisation, we'd love to have you on board.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and software
- Setup and maintain network infrastructure for seamless connectivity on site.
- Monitor and troubleshoot IT systems to ensure optimal performance
- Managing user identity and access management systems such as Google workspace and Entra ID
- Administering virtual machine environments such as VMware
- Set up security protocols, firewalls, and encryption.
- Provide technical support to users and resolve IT issues
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Collaborate with vendors for procurement of IT resources.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems and procedures.
- Manage deployment of security patches and updates.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans.
- Performing security audits and vulnerability patch management
- Log, categorise, and prioritise support requests using a ticketing system.
Background/Experience:
- Operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching)
- System administration (Active Directory, VMware, Remote Desktop Connections, Azure)
- Security (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus)
- Software support (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, other popular applications)
- Experience in corporate device management (MDM) using tools like Jamf and Intune.
