About The Role: Adviser Solutions Manager
We have an opening for an Adviser Solutions Manager (Business Development Manager) to join our rapidly growing Managed Portfolio sales team in Brisbane. Reporting to the Regional Director QLD & WA the Adviser Solutions Manager will use a solutions-based business development approach and leverage Morningstar’s capabilities to deliver investment solutions for advisers. In doing so, the adviser entrusts their clients’ assets to Morningstar as their investment partner to help them achieve their financial goals.
The successful candidate will possess a strong network of relationships within the Queensland financial advice market and a proven track record of retaining and growing funds under management through proactive business development, relationship management, and the delivery of value-led solutions to financial advisers.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve net flow targets.
· Identify, engage and convert new financial adviser opportunities to expand Morningstar's managed portfolio client base.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with advisers across the Queensland market.
· Drive increased adoption of Morningstar's managed portfolio solutions through proactive business development and consultative sales engagement.
· Manage the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, opportunity qualification, negotiation and onboarding.
· Retain and grow existing client relationships by identifying expansion opportunities and increasing share of wallet.
· Maintain an active and disciplined sales pipeline, providing accurate forecasting and timely reporting of business opportunities and outcomes.
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless client experience and ensure successful implementation of new business opportunities.
· Represent Morningstar at industry events, conferences and client forums to enhance brand presence, generate leads and strengthen market relationships.
· Monitor market trends, competitor activity and adviser needs to identify emerging opportunities and contribute to sales strategy development.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
· Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a Business Development role within financial services, with a demonstrated track record of achieving growth targets and commercial outcomes.
· Proven success in acquiring new business, developing client relationships and growing funds under management (FUM).
· Strong understanding of the Australian financial advice industry, including adviser and licensee business models and market dynamics.
· Established network of relationships with financial advisers across the Queensland market.
· Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, build and manage a sales pipeline, and convert prospects into long-term clients.
· Exceptional relationship management, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
· Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills that can help deliver value for clients and Morningstar.
· Highly self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across internal teams.
· Experience using CRM systems and sales management tools to maintain pipeline discipline, forecasting accuracy and client engagement records.
· Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Economics, Commerce or a related discipline are preferred.
