Job Description
Position Overview:
The Senior Integration Engineer will define enterprise corporate data object models and then develop data integration components using MuleSoft’s platform as a service cloud environment to deliver data integrations that are reliable, scalable, and reusable. Agile framework and DevOps methodologies will be used to fulfill development activities. This role within the Enterprise Integration team will provide the needed technical services for Rockwell Automation capability teams that need to achieve Application Programming Integration (API) projects.
The Senior Integration Engineer will architect and develop API components. Following Agile principles you will estimate work, accepting stories into delivery increments, and completing tasks to deliver the work. Proficiency is needed in data modeling, API integration concepts, data analytics, data quality, user interface design, support operations, and process improvement methodologies.
You will report to a Technical Leader based in Milwaukee, WI.
Your Responsibilities:
- Specialize in merging data from different sources, ensuring consistency and making the data accessible for users and systems through common data model definition and layer.
- Design, code, test, and document new MuleSoft API platform components, including supporting applications and interfaces
- Support development activity together with other integration technology resources
- Develop and test infrastructure components in Cloud and Edge-level environments
- Monitor industry trends and identifies opportunities to implement new technologies
- Manage the DevOps pipeline deployment model
- Promote automated testing procedures
- Implement software in all environments
- Work with other engineers and architects to keep the architecture current
- Write high-quality code compliant with regulations
- Collaborate with business systems data owners, product owners, and analysts to define requirements
- Adapt quickly to new technologies and changing requirements
- Work on issues of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of relevant factors.
- Manage competing demands, accept criticism and constructive feedback, while being extremely adaptable and flexible
- Distill information from different data sources and the capability to tell the “story” behind it, and recommendations for next steps
- Organize work of other development team members
- Exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action.
- Seek out and embrace relevant perspectives when assessing a situation or making a decision; demonstrate clear understanding of multiple viewpoints

The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Typically requires 8+ years of relevant experience in integration engineering and/or architecture
- Enterprise corporate data model definitions for integration reuse
- Architecture and domain-driven design of API integration components
- MuleSoft API platform, MuleSoft certification
- Integration activity with Salesforce applications
- Master Data Management (MDM) principles
- Definition and automation of test cases
- Build and deployment automation using CI/CD (Azure DevOps)
- Other data movement technologies (EDI, ETL)
- Systems development lifecycle
- Analytical concepts and implementations
- Agile development methodologies and system/process documentation
- Familiarity with business concepts and data story telling
