Purpose of the Role
As a part of our growth strategy, we have an opportunity for an Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Specialist, to join our Melbourne or Brisbane based business. This role reports to the JP8190 Senior Systems Engineer – ILS. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, hard-working, experienced ILS Specialist with 10+ years of experience who has Defence logistics experience across a range of capabilities and is seeking their next challenge to develop their career in a renowned worldwide business. Persons who have worked for either Defence or prime contractors would be highly suitable.
The ILS Specialist is responsible for delivering or assisting with the creation and/or maintenance of the ILS documentation suite for the JP8190 project, including the creation and maintenance of the technical publications. Ideally the candidate would have a background in ADF Land based logistics with a technical background.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an ILS Specialists to assist with the delivery of the ILS suite of documents for the JP8190 project. With the potential to transition into a role within the sustainment team upon the completion of the acquisition phase.
We are welcoming applicants with expertise in the following areas:
- Logistics Support Analysis (LSA)
- Technical ILS
- ILS Technical Writers/Technical Publication Authors
- ILS Data Analysts
- Participating within engineering teams to influence design to ensure ILS supportability outcomes are incorporated.
- Contributing to assessments of availability, reliability, maintainability and testability.
- Assist conducting maintenance task analysis.
- Review ILS documents including, LORA, FMECA, LCC, etc.
- Assist determining Support and Test Equipment, Packaging, Handling, Transport and Storage requirements,
- Aligning repair and replacement part requirements,
- Development of provisioning and repair part identification lists,
- Supporting development of lifecycle costing data,
- Managing, reviewing and distributing codification data (CDATA),
- Assisting the development of technical data lists,
- Assist in the preparing integrated logistics plans.
Key Requirements:
- Experience writing or validating technical documentation.
- Proven experience in Logistic Support Analysis in an Integrated Logistics Support team in Defence, 10+ years.
- Strong analysis capabilities of complex technical systems.
- Demonstrates a methodical approach to problem definition and resolution.
- Demonstrated knowledge of full range of LSA activities (LSAR, LORA, CDATA and so forth);
- Proficient in MS Office in particular Word and Excel.
- Melbourne/Brisbane based employment with potential travel requirements.
