LOCATION:

  • Tampa, FL
    • 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

Summary:

Under limited supervision, recommends and new and complex strategies for our agency business channel in the comparative raters. Leads special product development projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Improves business performance via data driven insights
  • Recommends and implements new and complex strategies to improve our competitive position
  • Builds analytic models designed to automate critical business decisions
  • Prepares and reviews statistics for management information reports, such as those covering marketing, sales, competitive and loss information
  • Works with cross-department teams to define metrics, guidelines, and strategies for effective use of data
  • Manages relationships with external parties, including vendors, insurance organizations and agencies
  • Consults on marketing strategies.
  • Takes ownership of medium complexity business problems, plan items, product features or product lines
  • Maintains, updates, redesigns and develops data sources and regular information sources.
  • Checks and balances data sources for reasonability.  Organizes various data primarily through personal computing, using languages such as SAS, EXCEL, SQL and other modeling tools.
  • Employ basic statistical techniques to model various pricing business practices
  • Interprets and presents data findings creatively and in a variety of formats.
  • Adheres to the GEICO Code of Conduct, company policies, and operating principles.
  • Meets attendance standard at business location to perform necessary job functions and to facilitate interaction with management and coworkers.
  • Meets the requirements specified below.

Requirements:

  • Experience developing and executing SAS and SQL code
  • Experience developing reports in Power BI
  • Experience using Snowflake, Python or R
  • Experience with Snowflake
  • Experience in transforming data and data visualization
  • Must be able to present to leadership
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills; ability to resolve tough business problems with well-structured analyses
  • Ability to work quickly and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal & presentation) with the ability to understand and communicate difficult concepts
  • A highly motivated team-player
  • Must be able to, with or without accommodation, perform the essential functions which include, but are not limited to seeing, hearing, typing and speaking
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree is preferred
  • Experience with insurance or financial analysis is preferred

Annual Salary

$91,225.00 - $141,450.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
