The Senior Content Strategist serves as the product owner and portfolio manager for Education Services learning content within an assigned business or product domain. This role owns the Business Unit-specific learning portfolio, including learning strategy, curriculum direction, content roadmaps, modality strategy, learning paths, course blueprints, and customer enablement plans.

Working across Product Management, R&D, Services, and technical subject matter experts, the strategist translates complex technical products, customer workflows, and business objectives into effective learning solutions and development-ready course blueprints. Applying L & D expertise, instructional design principles, and learner-centered methodologies, this role defines learning objectives, audience needs, modality recommendations, assessments, practical activities, and success criteria to ensure training solutions drive customer proficiency, product adoption, and intended business outcomes. 

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL: 

  • Own and maintain the Education Services portfolio strategy, content roadmap, curriculum direction, learning paths, course blueprint and certification opportunities for assigned Business Units or product domains.  
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize stakeholder requirements, customer feedback, product roadmaps, support trends, business initiatives, and learning data to develop portfolio recommendations and roadmap priorities. 
  • Design technical learning solutions and course blueprints that translate complex products, engineering concepts, and customer workflows into effective learning experiences using sound instructional design and adult learning principles.  
  • Explore and recommend innovative learning approaches, including AI-enabled learning experiences, digital learning technologies, and scalable customer education models.  
  • Serve as the primary course owner throughout content development, ensuring solutions align with approved objectives, audience needs, customer outcomes, technical accuracy, instructional quality standards, and portfolio goals.  
  • Communicate recommendations, priorities, trade-offs, and readiness decisions while facilitating alignment among stakeholders with competing business objectives.  
  • Monitor portfolio health, content performance, learner feedback, customer outcomes, and industry trends, continuously improving Education Services offerings to maximize customer proficiency and business value.  

 

WHO YOU ARE: You are a strategic thinker who connects customer outcomes, product strategy, business priorities, and learning needs into a cohesive education portfolio. You understand how learning experiences influence customer proficiency, product adoption, and long-term business success.   You are comfortable working in ambiguity, evaluating multiple sources of information, and making informed recommendations, creating impactful learning paths and blueprints. You build strong partnerships across Business Units, Product Management, R&D, Services, and Subject Matter Experts, helping stakeholders align effective learning solutions and portfolio decisions.  You combine learning design expertise with technical curiosity and business understanding, creating learning experiences that transform complex technical content into clear, practical, and impactful customer education.  

 

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technical Discipline, Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Technical Communication, or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Technical Training, Learning Experience Design, Customer Education, or related disciplines. 
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, learning objectives, assessments, content sequencing, and modality selection.  
  • Ability to understand complex technical products and translate them into customer-focused learning requirements, learning strategies, and course designs.  
  • Strong analytical, business problem-solving, communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.  
  • Experience gathering, synthesizing, and prioritizing requirements from multiple stakeholders, and translating them into actionable recommendations based on customer outcomes, business priorities, product strategy, and data-driven insights. 
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future

  • Experience in industrial automation, software, test and measurement, engineering systems, or other complex technical product environments.  
  • Experience developing customer education strategies, learning portfolios, learning paths, certification programs, or customer enablement initiatives.  
  • Experience partnering with Product Management, Business Units, R&D, Services, or technical subject matter experts to define learning solutions and portfolio strategies.  
  • Experience with digital learning ecosystems, learning technologies, AI-enabled learning experiences, or scalable content development approaches.  
  • Technical curiosity and the ability to quickly develop sufficient product and customer workflow understanding to influence learning design decisions and challenge assumptions constructively.
