About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Institutional Investment Operations Specialist to drive operational excellence, digital transformation, and intelligent automation across Institutional Investment Banking Operations. This role combines deep operations expertise with strong hands-on experience in ETL, analytics platforms, Power Platform, and applied AI to deliver scalable, compliant, and value-driven solutions
In this role, you will:
• Lead end-to-end lifecycle support across Institutional Investment Banking Operations, including trade processing, settlements, funding, custody, asset servicing, and reconciliations• Drive operational transformation using ETL and automation tools such as Alteryx, Xceptor, Power Automate, Power Apps, and related platforms• Design, develop, and govern data pipelines, operational dashboards, and analytics solutions using Tableau, Power BI, and enterprise data sources• Apply AI and advanced analytics (e.g., intelligent document processing, predictive analytics, anomaly detection) to improve accuracy, efficiency, and risk controls• Manage and optimize client onboarding, cash and payments processing, securities settlement, custodial operations, structured products, and general ledger reconciliations• Lead or participate in complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning operations, technology, risk, and compliance• Identify, assess, and implement opportunities for process optimization, straight-through processing (STP), and control enhancements• Provide thought leadership and execution oversight for large-scale efficiency, automation, and transformation programs• Review and analyze complex operational workflows, data flows, and control frameworks requiring in-depth evaluation and judgment• Exercise independent judgment to resolve complex operational, data, or technology issues• Serve as a senior project leader across internal and industry-wide initiatives• Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Business to achieve strategic objectives• Mentor, coach, and develop analysts and junior team members, fostering a strong automation and analytics culture
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in Investment Banking or Capital Markets Operations (e.g., Securities Ops, Funding Ops, Middle office)• Advanced expertise in Alteryx, Xceptor, Tableau, Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps• Experience applying AI/ML or intelligent automation within operations• Strong experience in operations transformation, process re-engineering, or automation initiatives• Hands-on or leadership experience with ETL, workflow automation, or analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Xceptor, Power Platform, Tableau, Power BI)• Proven ability to lead complex initiatives, influence stakeholders, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk, regulatory controls, SOX, audit, and compliance frameworks• Experience leading large-scale transformation, efficiency, or cost-save programs• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills• Prior experience mentoring teams and building analytics or automation capabilities

Skills Required
