Key Responsibilities
- Design highly available, scalable, and resilient tracing solutions supporting enterprise workloads on SPLOC, AppDynamics, and Dynatrace platforms.
- Engineer cloud-native observability solutions across Kubernetes, OpenShift, virtual machines, and hybrid environments.
- Develop and maintain tracing gateways, collectors, agents, and telemetry pipelines.
- Define and implement enterprise OpenTelemetry standards and instrumentation strategies.
- Enable automated instrumentation across Java, .NET, Node.js, Python, and emerging technology stacks.
- Design telemetry collection architectures using OpenTelemetry Collectors and modern observability patterns.
- Design and enable AI-assisted troubleshooting capabilities.
- Evaluate and integrate AI agents for tracing, logging, performance analytics, and root-cause determination.
- Partner with data and AI teams to build observability copilots and intelligent operational workflows.
- Automate agent deployment, upgrades, monitoring validation, and compliance checks.
- Build self-service onboarding capabilities to accelerate application adoption.
- Serve as the technical lead for tracing and APM platforms.
- 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, SRE, or observability domains.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise APM and tracing platforms: Splunk Observability Cloud (SignalFx/SPLOC), AppDynamics or Dynatrace
- Deep understanding of Distributed tracing, OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Experience with automation languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Strong understanding of enterprise monitoring, performance engineering, and observability practices.
- Experience implementing OpenTelemetry at enterprise scale.
- Knowledge of GenAI, LLMs, AI agents, and AIOps solutions.
- Experience integrating observability data with ServiceNow, automation, and incident management platforms.
- Expertise in OpenShift, container observability, and modern telemetry pipelines.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise migrations and modernization initiatives.
- Industry certifications in Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Kubernetes, or Cloud technologies.
