Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and business
- Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutions
- Contribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirements

- Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management and key rotations

- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience managing large-scale Middleware environments, including Solace appliances or Brokers.
- Strong hands-on experience with Solace PubSub+ appliances.
- Expertise in handling larger Application Migrations on Solace Appliances.
- Expertise in firmware upgrades, patching, and maintenance lifecycle.
- Solid experience with TLS/SSL certificate management (CSR creation, renewal, rotation, trust store updates).
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware alerts, including Fan/temperature, Disk/SSD, NIC and redundancy issues, HA failovers.
- Experience coordinating vendor support (Solace TAC) including RMA, part replacement, and RCA.
- Strong operational knowledge of VPN creation, Queue / Topic Endpoint creation, ACL profiles, client profiles, quotas.
- Skills in performance tuning/window tuning for high throughput and low latency.
- Experience using CLI, SolAdmin, SEMP API, and monitoring dashboards.
- Strong L3 troubleshooting skills for production platforms.
- Understanding of HA/DR architecture in Solace.
- Knowledge of replay, transaction settings, and advanced Solace features.
- Experience implementing DMR (Dynamic Message Routing) or event mesh.
- Automation/scripting (Python, Bash, Ansible).
- Experience with other messaging platforms (Kafka, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ).
- Cloud exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP) with Solace PubSub+ Cloud.
- Networking concepts: BGP, routing, multicast, certificates at enterprise scale.
- Experience managing capacity planning and throughput optimization.
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk).
- Solace certification (SSC or architecture).
- Experience supporting an enterprise-level environment.
- Thorough understanding compliance standards and risk management practices for systems within the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector.
- Provide implementation support for key risk initiatives.
- ITIL v4 Certification.
- Outline and implement product support, maintenance, enhancements.
- Contribute to the analysis of business, application, and technical infrastructure requirements.
- Involvement in Design, test, debug, and document programs using Agile development practices.

- 4+ years of Experience on IBM MQ Hardware Appliance High Availability Clustering and Data Replication setup across multiple DCs.
- Experience on IBM MQ on zLinux, Linux, AIX OS flavors.
- Expertise on Handling the Large-scale migrations from MQ on On-prem/Cloud to MQ Hardware Appliance
- Expertise in handling the MQ hardware Appliance support, High Availability Clustering, Backup/Restore Procedures
- Establishing and documenting production run books and guidelines for Admin and Support operations
- Creating, configuring, and maintaining MQ Objects like Queue Managers, Queues, Channels, Listeners, Topics
- 4+ years of Hands-on experience on Confluent Kafka platform setup, Topics, partitions, clients, Kafka Streams
- Experience with Kafka Connect workers and connectors (Source and Sink)
- Ability to troubleshoot Authentication and Authorization issues.
- Protect the Kafka cluster with ingress connections and tune the Quotas, Request Percentages
- Experience in setting Confluent platform with MRC and SBK
- Expertise planning, defining the strategy for the migration approaches.
- Help build/mature the Kafka (Confluent platform) in terms of monitoring and alerting solution, including baseline thresholds and automated alerts, as a Day-1 operational requirement.
- Expertise in setting up confluent platforms including KRAFT, Brokers, Schema registry, Rest proxy, Kafka Connect, KsqlDB, Cluster Linking.
- Experience in deploying and operating Kafka on OpenShift (OCP) with Confluent Operator.
- Expertise in provisioning Topics, ACLs, Idempotent Producers, Consumers
- Proficient in tuning the GC, heap, partitions, ISR, retention, quotas
- Expert troubleshooting the consumer lag issues, slowness, Message loss & duplication, Throughput, broker crashes, offset issues, disk saturation.
- Expert is setting up Kafka Security with TLS.
- Experience in Kraft mode setup and migration.

- Creating, configuring, and maintaining Objects in MQ, Kafka or Solace
- Good understanding of monitoring tools.
- Hands on experience on IBM API Connect and manage WMB topology, ACE upgrades.
- Experience with Kafka Connect worker and connectors (Source and Sink)
- Protect the Kafka cluster with ingress connections and tune the Quotas, Request Percentages
- Experience on setting Confluent platform with MRC and SBK
- Ability to troubleshoot Authentication, Authorization issues.
