Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Science Manager.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop a team of individual contributor roles conducting a range of analytical and predictive modeling for data science initiatives with low to moderate complexity and risk that drive and influence objectives and products and improve business performance
- Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated with the data-driven insights, patterns, and recommendations made by the data science team
- Identify and recommend opportunities to leverage data science with a focus on actionable insights; lead hypothesis generation around low to moderate critical business problems
- Make decisions and resolve issues regarding resources, objectives, and operations of the data science team to meet business objectives; interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with low to moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
- Collaborate with and consult with peers, colleagues, and multiple level managers
- Implement strategies for developing and utilizing advanced analytic data science resources to recommend business solutions and initiatives
- Provide thought leadership to the team on data science best practices, methods, and tools used to maximize output
- Communicate actionable insights and recommendations using data provided by the team in a digestible format to a non-technical audience of varying levels
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for aligned department or business group
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
- 5+ years of data science experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science
- Languages: SQL, Python, SAS
- Hands on experience on GCP(Google Cloud platform)
- BI Tools: Tableau/ Power BI/ Excel
- Good knowledge of building strategic analysis using customer profiling, business segmentation, heuristics, inferential statistics, RFM analysis
- Experience of working with Machine learning techniques - Segmentation, Regression, Decision Trees, Forecasting, Clustering
- Highly organized and proactive. Should be able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment and deal with multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
