The Opportunity:
This position is for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer specializing in RF Ground Systems. You will be working closely with a talented team to deliver a complex RF ground systems software application into operations. Our ideal candidate is a DevSecOps Engineer who is a hard-charging self-starter that can come onto a team and begin to produce quickly. You should have an advanced understanding of Kubernetes, containerization, automated test, and deployment pipelines, with a focus on RF ground systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage RF ground systems infrastructure using tools like Kubernetes and GitLab.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent and secure cloud infrastructure deployments.
- Scripting and Automation: Write and maintain scripts in Python or Shell to automate RF ground system processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Cloud Security: Apply enterprise security design principles to RF ground systems workflow, ensuring that security is an integral part of the development process.
- Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities, identifying and mitigating security threats in real-time.
- Compliance and Audits: Ensure that all DevSecOps practices comply with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to foster a culture of shared responsibility for security.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field or 4 years of directly related work experience in lieu of a degree
- 5+ years of Infrastructure/DevOps experience with a focus on RF ground systems
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and engagement with virtual or remote teams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes and deploying RF applications to Kubernetes clusters
- Experience with using Helm charts to deploy software to Kubernetes clusters (e.g., Argo CD)
- Strong experience with at least one of the major cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools (GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, GitHub workflows)
- IAT Level II or III certification (i.e., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CASP+)
- Active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance with required Polygraph
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of Scrum and Agile software development methodology
- Familiarity with government risk management framework (RMF) processes
- Experience with container tools (Docker, Podman) and container orchestration
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Basic understanding of observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar
- Experience with RF ground systems and related technologies

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
