Job Description

As a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer, you’ll be the architect of our future, turning complex infrastructure challenges into seamless, automated reality.

This position is for seasoned professionals who excel at blending infrastructure and network engineering expertise with software development, to drive significant improvements in operations and efficiency. The role demands a high level of technical leadership, innovation, and a forward-thinking approach to revolutionise our automation and AI capabilities.  

You will lead groundbreaking projects that have a profound impact on infrastructure, operations, and business agility. 

The Infrastructure Automation team designs reusable services, technical governance, and advanced orchestration, while driving strategic initiatives such as AI-driven automation. The team leverages a diverse technology stack, utilising multiple APIs and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to combine all infrastructure and network technologies under a vendor-agnostic abstraction tier. 

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid work from home policy. 

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. 
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL for developing automated processes with supporting APIs and frontend tooling. 
  • Expertise in network and security technologies, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall configurations. 
  • Experience with content delivery technologies, load balancing, caching, and cloud-based services. 
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems. 
  • Hands-on experience with automation and tooling platforms such as Ansible, Jenkins, and GIT. 
  • Proven ability to manage change and version control systems.

Additional Information

  • Designing and implement automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency. 
  • Developing and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates for consistent network configurations. 
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into scalable automated processes. 
  • Overseeing the full lifecycle of automation projects from conception to deployment. 
  • Conducting pre-release and post-release testing to ensure service reliability. 
  • Building and maintaining an automation framework that supports self-service capabilities. 
  • Documenting automation processes and maintain version control for reproducible infrastructure. 
  • Researching emerging technologies to enhance automation capabilities. 
  • Maintaining and upholding coding standards across the automation space. 
  • Performing QA on prospective code to ensure adherence to best practices.
