Job Purpose
We are seeking a seasoned cyber security professional with an engineering mindset having hands on skills in Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) platform tools. This individual will be tasked with the design, configuration, engineering and management of essential data security tools and platforms, in addition to leading significant data security projects and initiatives. The perfect candidate will have a track record of successfully implementing Data Leakage Prevention (DLP), Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), and related technologies for data classification and labelling.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize Microsoft Purview and Zscaler DSPM to design and implement Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies aimed at safeguarding sensitive information across Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams, as well as endpoints and non-Microsoft cloud applications.
- Set up sensitivity labels, adaptive protection measures, and enforce policies for data that is at rest, actively in use, and in transit.
- Implement and oversee Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps (MDCA) to track and manage Software as a Service (SaaS) usage, enforce session policies, and identify risky behaviours.
- Combine Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) with Purview and Defender for Endpoint to achieve comprehensive visibility and effective incident response.
- Ensure that DLP and CASB settings are aligned with the organization's compliance frameworks and regulatory obligations.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Platform Engineering, Identity and Access Management (IAM) teams to built integration and configuration of the DLP and DSPM tools.
- Partnering with the security operations centre (SOC) team to ensure the DLP alerts are flowing effectively into the incident response platform or ticketing platform to trigger an investigation.
KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:
- Overall 15+ years of experience in cyber security tools configuration, engineering and management.
- Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in design, configuration, engineering and management of Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) solutions for a fleet of at least 25k desktops and laptops globally located across Americas, Europe & APAC.
- In-depth hands-on knowledge of configuring DLP solutions like Microsoft Purview and Zscaler DSPM. Must have implemented either Microsoft Purview or Zscaler DSPM for at least one full lifecycle instance.
- Strong experience with scripting, system integration, or light development preferably with Python, PowerShell, other scripting languages would be required to fine tune policies, system to system integration and built workflow automation.
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of current data protection laws, rules and regulations across various geographies
- A collaborative approach to solving technical challenges and improving security
- Project tracking experience and organisational skills
- Strong personal work ethic with excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver under pressure
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at various levels
