Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Senior Info. Security Engineer to join our Cloud Workload Lifecycle Security (CWLS) team, working on support, engineering and automation specific to Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud Enterprise product with primary focus on container security/Cloud Workload Protection (CWP) modules. CWLS is part of the Cloud Security organization within Wells Fargo Cybersecurity. In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in computer security incident response activities for moderately complex events
- Conduct technical investigation of security related incidents and post incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategies
- Provide security consulting on medium projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards
- Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security
- Review and correlate security logs
- Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity
- Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years Prisma Cloud Enterprise (PCE) experience with a focus on engineering support, admin., configuration management and automation
- 1+ years' Prisma Cloud Enterprise (PCE) experience supporting/deploying Prisma Defender agent, preferably at scale on Kubernetes (public and private cloud) platforms
- 4+ years of experience in GitHub/Bitbucket or any other version control system.
- 1+ years' experience with AI/ML and GenAI tools or platforms (e.g., CoPilot, Azure AI, Google Vertex AI)
- 2+ years' experience with programmatic interaction with RESTful APIs - extracting, manipulating and processing of JSON data with Python/PowerShell/Bash
- Proficiency in Python libraries: NumPy, Pandas, FastAPI, etc
- 2+ years' experience working with Containers Orchestration platforms (Kubernetes preferred), microservice architectures and engineering
- 2+ years' experience with 2 or more of these major cloud service providers (GCP, Azure, AWS)
- 1+ years' experience with CI/CD (Harness, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions) security and/or dev sec ops.
- Intermediate to advanced cloud security knowledge of services, workloads and hardening practices.
- Familiarity with of various cloud security and related risk frameworks (CIS, NIST, COBIT, Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), FedRAMP, etc.)
- Knowledge and understanding of diverse platforms and operating systems, including current and emerging technologies
- Splunk Cloud experience, including writing queries
- Agile experience
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- CISSP Certification
- Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Certifications
- 1+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL queries
- 1+ years' experience using Generative AI (GenAI) tools or platforms (e.g., CoPilot, Azure AI, Google Vertex AI)
- 2+ years of Linux experience
- Actively support and perform engineering work for WF's implementation of Prisma Cloud Enterprise PCE (SaaS hosted), ensuring effective delivery of product roadmap
- Design/Develop automation for various PCE engineering and support processes, with primary focus on Container Security/Cloud Workload Protection areas
- Leverage your deep expertise maintaining and automating Prisma Defender agent deploys/monitoring for Public & Private Cloud Kubernetes/Containers envs. (Tanzu, AKS, GKE & OpenShift/OCP)
- Experience in designing and building diagrams using draw.io or Visio and documentation using confluence.
- Perform upgrades, maintenance and configuration management on PCE Consoles
- Respond to incidents/troubleshoot issues with the SaaS and deployed Defender agents for PCE
- Provide professional expertise relating to resolution of host and application vulnerability false positive claims and guiding partner teams in resolving vulnerabilities & compliance issues
- Be a motivated self-starter quick to adapt and stay focused on delivering results in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines
- Share your expertise and knowledge with teammates - effectively demonstrating a strong teamwork ethic, while also being successful working independently
