The Senior Information Security Engineer is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, implementing, and maintaining security systems and procedures that protect enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, networks, applications, databases, and critical business information. This role serves as the functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Trend Micro technologies deployed in the enterprise.
The successful candidate will partner with engineering, architecture, operations, and security teams to support cloud transformation initiatives, enhance cybersecurity controls, assist in the response to security and support incidents as required, and drive continuous improvement through automation and infrastructure modernization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Trend Micro security technologies and related platforms
- Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems, networks, databases, and web-based security controls
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and security reviews of enterprise systems and cloud environments
- Monitor and respond to alerts generated by information security tools
- Investigate, track, and resolve operational support incidents
- Implement and maintain security controls that prevent unauthorized access and reduce organizational risk
- Stay aware of emerging threats, attack techniques, and security trends to proactively strengthen platform defenses
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience supporting Trend Micro technologies
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Security Engineer, or similar technical role
- Experience supporting security operations within healthcare, financial services, or other regulated industries
- Experience in infrastructure and deployment automation
- Experience implementing enterprise-scale security monitoring and endpoint security solutions
- Experience with automation, scripting, and cloud-native security technologies
- Knowledge of identity and access management technologies and security governance frameworks
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management, incident response, and security operations
- Proven solid planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot highly complex technical issues within a large, matrixed enterprise environment
- Proven solid excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
