As a Senior Information Security Engineering Analyst on our OIPTS (Optum Insight - Provider Technology Services) Security Resiliency team, you will be the driving force behind our data-driven security intelligence. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-impact metrics, dashboards, and automated reporting systems that empower all security teams and clients to make informed, proactive decisions. In this role, you will build modern reporting solutions, design automated data pipelines, and develop innovative, AI-powered analytics tools to translate complex security data into clear, actionable insights. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with vast security datasets, utilize the Microsoft Power Platform suite, and pioneer advanced automation solutions that ensure our healthcare provider platforms remain secure, resilient, and highly transparent
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered analytics solutions and automations to address complex security data challenges, with an emphasis on the responsible use of AI and predictive analytics
- Use enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline security analytics workflows, automate metrics-reporting tasks, and drive continuous improvement across reporting lifecycles
- Evaluate emerging trends in AI, machine learning, data visualization, and security metrics to inform dashboard design and drive strategic innovation for our clients
- Develop, maintain, and optimize highly interactive, executive-level dashboards and operational reports using Power BI, Power Platform, and Smartsheets
- Build automated data pipelines and integrate APIs to pull, transform, and aggregate security data from various security databases, log sources, and compliance systems
- Collaborate closely with all security teams and external clients to understand their reporting requirements, define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and deliver customized metrics solutions
- Analyze complex datasets to detect anomalies, security trends, and operational bottlenecks, presenting findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all dashboards, reporting portals, and internal databases
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or information security metrics-reporting roles
- 3+ years of experience building interactive dashboards, data models, and enterprise reports using Power BI and the Microsoft Power Platform (including Power Automate)
- 3+ years of experience designing and implementing data automations, scripting, or automated ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to aggregate multi-source data
- 2+ years of experience collaborating with cross-functional technical teams to translate raw system logs or databases into structured, client-ready business metrics
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications in Microsoft Power Platform (e.g., PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst) or general security (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
- Experience working with Tableau or Smartsheet for enterprise project tracking and metrics presentation
- Experience integrating AI-powered APIs, machine learning capabilities, or natural language processing tools to enhance data categorization and predictive reporting
- Good AI Knowledge /User +development
- Solid understanding of core information security concepts (e.g., vulnerability management, incident response, compliance, or identity and access management) and their operational metrics
