Your Job:
 
As a Senior Industrial Engineer, Asia, you will report to the Associate Manager of Industrial Engineering and be responsible for organizing, planning, and performing Industrial Engineering (IE) work which supports Lean Manufacturing, Footwear Commercialization and Engineering, and Costing.  You will help create and execute the IE strategies and plans that lead to reduced costs, increased productivity, improved quality and influence factories.  

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Associate Manager of Industrial Engineering on establishing yearly team goals and short term strategic plans.   
  • Build and maintain the framework and templates for analyzing data and sharing across multiple groups.
  • Drive data collection and ensure data consistency with regards to labor and processes.
  • Partner with Lean Manufacturing and Footwear Engineering in standardizing our footwear documentation and process and ensuring those standards are adhered to in labor calculations.
  • Support footwear teams in driving standardized processes into the manufacturing spaces of Tier 1 factories.
  • Align with Costing on the sharing of Tier 1 and Tier 2 labor data and provide the necessary information seasonally.
  • Lead the analysis of time and labor calculations for newly developed models and current models in production.
  • Identify projects based on data that will bring improved labor or process efficiency. 
  • Plan and support experiments around footwear manufacturing operations to maximize workflow and equipment utilization. 
  • Help develop Key Performance Indicators for team performance and periodic reporting to senior management
  • Influence factory and internal functional and operational managers to improve productivity, quality, throughput and output
  • Other responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of equivalent experience in the field.
  • 4+ years of conducting industrial engineering activities in the manufacturing realm. 
  • 3+ years of experience conducting time and measurement studies.
  • 3+ years of experience participating on teams focused on industrial engineering, optimization or lean efforts. 
  • Proven success in measuring and creating standards for industrial engineering in manufacturing.
  • General assembly process knowledge.
  • General knowledge of footwear manufacturing.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company.
  • Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products or other departments’ operations and/or morale; “connecting the dots.”
  • Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our processes and products while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help out wherever necessary.
  • Possess the ability to understand and empathize with the runner in order to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community.

  • Travel 20% (Domestically/Internationally)
