At January, we're fixing what's broken in credit. Our data-driven platform rebuilds trust, delivers results, and helps millions move toward brighter financial futures while bringing humanity to consumer finance. Using data intelligence, we create trust and deliver better outcomes for consumers and creditors alike.

Our mission is simple: expand access to credit while empowering consumers to achieve lasting stability and control of their financial lives. We began by building the foundation for creditors to engage with and support their borrowers at scale across the entire debt lifecycle. We've mastered outsourced collections by combining best-in-class performance with differentiated consumer satisfaction and superior compliance. And we're just getting started. Together, we're creating a financial system where trust and opportunity spark lasting change in people's lives.

About the Role

Transform January's implementation capabilities by leading complex client integrations that balance technical excellence with strategic judgment. You'll scale our team's impact by mentoring junior consultants, designing reusable solutions that prevent one-off customizations, and navigating challenging client conversations with confidence. Your work directly determines whether implementations become scalable assets or unsustainable burdens — making the difference between clients who achieve lasting success and those who struggle to realize value. This role shapes how January delivers on our promise to rebuild trust in credit through reliable, thoughtful technology implementations that serve both client needs and platform sustainability.

What You'll Do
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder implementations with minimal oversight, navigating competing priorities and technical constraints while maintaining project momentum and demonstrating clear judgment on scope decisions

  • Mentor and develop implementation team capabilities by guiding associate consultants through complex problem-solving scenarios, creating repeatable training materials, and modeling strategic thinking

  • Design and implement scalable solution patterns that standardize implementations across similar client needs, building reusable configurations that reduce future complexity

  • Manage challenging client relationships and escalations through professional navigation of difficult conversations about scope, timeline, and technical limitations while building trust through transparent communication

  • Drive strategic decisions on implementation scope and approach by evaluating client requests through the lens of platform sustainability and recommending alternative solutions when requests would create unsustainable precedents

  • Establish implementation quality standards and processes through systematic approaches to testing, validation, and documentation that ensure reliability and continuous improvement

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable language across diverse teams — including Product, Client Success, Compliance, and Engineering — to ensure alignment and shared understanding

What We're Looking ForExperience and Expertise:
  • 4+ years experience leading technology implementations or integrations, preferably in client-facing roles

  • Demonstrated experience mentoring or training junior team members on technical concepts

  • Track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with competing priorities

  • Experience navigating difficult client conversations and de-escalating challenging situations

  • Technical aptitude including intermediate SQL skills and API integration experience

Strategic and Analytical Capabilities:
  • Ability to see patterns across client problems and make principled decisions about implementation scope, distinguishing between what we can build versus what we should build

  • Expertise in breaking down complex integration challenges, identifying root causes, and designing systematic solutions

  • Focus on building repeatable processes and creating scalable approaches rather than one-off fixes

Leadership and Communication:
  • Skill in navigating complex stakeholder relationships across clients, internal teams, and leadership while building alignment around realistic solutions

  • Proficiency in translating technical concepts for business stakeholders and business requirements for technical teams

  • Drive to proactively identify and resolve implementation blockers while taking ownership of client outcomes

Preferred Background:
  • Background in SaaS implementations, system integrations, or technical consulting

  • Experience working with financial services, fintech, or highly regulated industry clients

  • Proven ability to design reusable solutions and standardize implementation approaches

  • History of collaboration with Product and Engineering teams to influence tooling decisions
