Design & Documentation
- Prepare and develop ELV/ICT design drawings including schematic diagrams, riser diagrams, system block diagrams, floor plans, and equipment room layouts using AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
- Produce design basis reports, concept narratives, and technical specifications in accordance with project requirements and applicable UAE/GCC authority standards .
- Support the preparation of detailed design packages, design calculations, and equipment schedules across the following systems:
- Structured Cabling & Data Networks (ICT/IDF/MDF rooms, LAN, WAN, fibre backbone)
- CCTV & Video Surveillance Systems
- Access Control & Intrusion Detection Systems
- Public Address & Voice Evacuation (PAVA) Systems
- Building Management System (BMS) integration – ELV interface coordination
- Audio Visual (AV) Systems
- Nurse Call & Healthcare Communication Systems (where applicable)
- Car Park Guidance & Management Systems (CPMS)
- Master Antenna Television (MATV/IPTV) Systems
- Wayfinding, Digital Signage & Intercom Systems

Coordination & Technical Support
- Coordinate ELV/ICT systems with other MEP disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection) and with the architectural and structural teams to ensure clash-free, code-compliant designs.
- Participate in design review sessions and respond to technical queries from project managers, clients, and other disciplines.
- Support BIM coordination and contribute to federated model reviews as required by the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
- Assist in the preparation of authority submission packages for relevant UAE regulatory bodies and respond to technical comments raised during approvals.

Project & Quality Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation in accordance with Stantec’s quality standards
- Meet agreed deliverable deadlines and communicate proactively on progress, risks, or technical issues to the lead engineer or project manager.
- Participate in internal design reviews and quality checks prior to document issue.

Technical Skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit / BIM authoring tools is preferred.
- Good understanding of structured cabling standards: TIA-568,
- Familiarity with relevant security and communication standards
- Working knowledge of IP networking principles as applicable to ELV/ICT system
- Experience with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); exposure to fee/hour-tracking tools is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings for spatial coordination.
Person Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum 4-7 years of dedicated ICT and ELV design experience, with at least 1 to 2 years on projects in the Middle East or Gulf region.
