Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking a SR HR Specialist with high level accountability to join our thriving team in our Plantation Headquarters. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of data by supporting HR systems as it relates to all aspects of a team member's data life cycle. They will provide support for all wage and hour team member needs through record auditing, corrections, and transactional support. The incumbent will be supporting the enterprise, performing high quality work while meeting business initiatives that align with state, federal and local regulations and are aligned with the company guiding principles.
The incumbent will represent HR Shared Services and collaborate closely with other business segments, including Directors, VP and C-suite Team Members to analyze key metric data for potential improvements and to provide guidance, knowledge and support, including automated systems of HR. The incumbent will also drive the development of tools and technology to improve compliance, enhance service levels and identify strategic opportunities and objectives.
What you'll do:
- Analyze, maintain and audit HR records for accuracy, compliance and identify any reoccurring errors or anomalies, working closely with the Compliance and Legal team. Determine root cause and implement best practices and solutions for improved workflow and business process. This includes wage reviews, incentive preparation/audit for payroll processing, HR business process flows, absence module for Paid Time Off, Unpaid Time Off, and Sick time accruals and other data as needed in accordance with Chewy's policies.
- Work Service Now (case management system) to enter or update team member's records in Workday and/or Kronos such as terminations, job changes, benefits deductions, compensation changes, department transfers, etc.
- Collaborate with the appropriate HR partners to correct team member's hours worked or time off under specific leave policies and ensure timesheets are aligned with the policy. Maintain, audit and correct timecards in Kronos in accordance with system pay policies and practices.
- Import/load all hours worked and time off time from Kronos to Workday in preparation of payroll run on a weekly basis. Complete several audits in preparation of payroll processing.
- Act as the HR representative for Directors, VP and C-suite for escalated cases and work with the appropriate team or leadership to resolve any discrepancies, improve business processes and provide key metrics and dashboards.
- Support HR software upgrades, design, implementation, functional testing, and data validation to ensure quality solutions and that all HR and Absence modules are meeting organizational and compliance needs.
- Develop and deliver extensive knowledge of all business processes, policies, and system configuration in Workday and or/Kronos. Create process driven documentation and training for HR and end users on system functionality and procedures.
- Lead and support various projects and company initiatives. Independently prioritize and accomplish high volume multiple tasks within established time frames.
- Provide training and operational support to internal customers (admin users, HRBPs, managers, etc.).
- May develop queries; generate and distribute reports.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Human Resources or a related field.
- 2-4+ years' experience in HR software system; ideally Workday, Service Now and Kronos.
- Demonstrate an analytical, methodical, and creative approach to resolving issues.
- Accurate and detailed with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding customer service focus, professional interaction from front-line to executive level.
- Must be able to prioritize work and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive and personal information.
- Must be effective working independently and in a team environment.
- Customer service orientation with an emphasis on accuracy, responsiveness, and clear communication.
- Understanding of HR/Payroll function, processes, and leading practices is preferred.
