Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Human Resources, the Senior Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting HR programs, policies, and initiatives at the Magna Corporate Office. This role acts as a trusted resource for employees and leaders, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, compensation reviews, promotions, onboarding and offboarding, and HR systems. The Senior Human Resources Generalist also supports the development and implementation of HR programs and strategies that foster a positive & engaging workplace culture.
Your Responsibilities
- Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 annually
- Immediate, open position
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a positive employee experience and accurate completion of required documentation and system updates.
- Administer compensation reviews & promotions, providing recommendations and guidance to leaders.
- Lead the performance management and goal-setting processes, including training, communication, tracking completion and providing ongoing support for employees and leaders.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and leaders on employee relations matters & HR policies.
- Support HR systems and processes, including Workday and Dayforce inquiries, data accuracy, reporting, and process improvements.
- Work cross-functionally to support the creation, implementation, and management of HR policies, programs, employee meetings, and engagement strategies that promote a positive workplace culture.
Who we are looking for
- CHRP/CHRL certification and post-secondary education in HR or related field.
- Proficiency in Workday and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in Ceridian Dayforce.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably with Magna.
- Knowledge of current legislation and ability to prioritize in a busy environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience working in a corporate environment is preferred.
