The Senior HR Generalist – HR Advisory is a strategic partner to business leaders, providing expert guidance on people-related matters, HR policies, and workforce management. Based in Kuala Lumpur, this role supports assigned managers across Southeast Asia countries by strengthening leadership capability, improving employee experience, enabling effective use of HR tools and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enable and drive adoption of HR systems (e.g., HCM, HR Direct) and promote manager self-service capability.
- Act as primary HR advisor to managers, providing guidance on employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management, and workforce planning.
- Coach and upskill managers to enhance their capability in managing teams, including performance conversations, engagement, and development planning.
- Provide advisory support in performance management processes including goal setting, performance reviews, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIP).
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to expedite hiring processes, including position validation, offer alignment, and escalation management.
- Monitor HR metrics and insights to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities, and provide recommendations to the business.
- Serve as escalation point for complex HR issues and collaborate with HR Services and CoEs to ensure timely resolution.
- Support employee relations matters and investigations, ensuring fair, compliant, and consistent outcomes.
- Work closely with regional HR and CoE teams to execute critical HR assignments and ensure consistency and alignment of HR practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to simplify HR processes, enhance user experience, and increase operational efficiency.
Key Experience & Capabilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience, including HR business partnering roles.
- Strong understanding of Malaysian employment laws and practices.
- Experience working in a regional or multi-country HR environment preferred.
- Experience with HR systems (HCM, HR Direct, analytics platforms).
