Based onsite in SRAM's Chicago office, the former warehouse district of Fulton, Chicago's lively West Loop area, which is now a hip corporate and entertainment area known for creative global and modern American restaurants, we have easy access to public transport, great restaurants, and an awesome office roof deck. At SRAM, you will join a highly effective, caring team in an office full of natural light, bikes, and donuts! Meet your teammates for a lakefront ride, yoga on the rooftop, or lunch on the balcony in between all the fun. You will play a key role as an advisor to site leaders, supporting HR initiatives, managing employee relations, ensuring HR compliance, and providing guidance to more junior HR team members. Your experience and expertise will be valuable in enhancing HR capabilities and supporting change initiatives. This role is based onsite in the Chicago office 4 days per week.
Responsibilities

  • Leverage your HR expertise to provide guidance and support to HR Generalists in handling complex HR issues, policy interpretation, and HR best practices.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters, conduct investigations and promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, ensuring they are consistent with legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for employees and managers on HR-related topics, including diversity and inclusion, performance management, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership on strategic initiatives such as talent development, succession planning, and organizational change management.
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends, provide insights, and make recommendations for process improvements and HR strategy adjustments.
  • Actively participate in change management initiatives, ensuring effective implementation and buy-in within the location.
  • Support HR managers in day-to-day HR operations, including talent acquisition, onboarding, and benefits administration.
  • Identify potential gaps in team structure and capabilities at the site level.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations and handling complex HR issues.
  • Familiarity with HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate HR teams effectively.
  • Understanding of performance review processes and employee development.
  • Knowledge of local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in HR data entry and maintaining accurate records.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with employees and management.
