We Do Consulting Differently

Second Sight Solutions, LLC (“Second Sight”), a subsidiary of Berkeley Research Group (BRG), is a 200+ person health technology company. Our innovative technology reimagines how drug discount data is exchanged, establishing new connections and improving transparency for drug manufacturers and their customers. Our customers and partners trust us to deliver reliable, first-to-market solutions and safeguard the data we receive. We trust our employees, and our culture gives them the freedom to create, collaborate, and grow. Second Sight leaders are industry experts, creative, unafraid to challenge the status quo, and the pioneers of market-changing solutions.

As a Senior HR Generalist, you will help deliver HR programs and services across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and offboarding to employee relations, benefits administration, and HRIS management. You will partner with employees and leaders to ensure a positive experience while supporting Second Sight’s organizational goals. This role reports to the VP of HR. This role is a hands-on operational role that will own the recurring administrative and compliance work that keeps HR running.

Employee Lifecycle & Operations

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, including documentation, system setup, and separation paperwork; partner with managers, IT, and operations to ensure a smooth experience on both ends.

  • Document, implement, and refine HR workflows, employee-facing processes, templates, and standard operating procedures.

  • Track onboarding and offboarding metrics and recommend process improvements.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR inquiries and provide guidance on policies, procedures, and employment practices.

  • Own employee relations matters, including performance-related discussions, workplace conflicts, and investigations, with appropriate partnership with HR leadership and legal counsel as needed.

  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures.

  • Serve as primary administrator of the HRIS, processing employee changes and maintaining employee records.

  • Develop and maintain the HR compliance calendar.

Benefits, Leave & Payroll Coordination

  • Serve as the primary liaison between benefits administration and payroll providers, ensuring accurate employee data, timely enrollments and deductions, and resolution of employee and vendor questions.

  • Support benefits enrollment, plan changes, and related employee education.

  • Administer leave of absence (FMLA and state equivalents) and workplace accommodation requests (ADA) in partnership with external administrators, tracking cases across the states in which we operate.

HR Programs & Continuous Improvement

  • Support our Paylocity HRIS implementation and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

  • Assist with the performance management cycle, compensation review process, and employee engagement initiatives (surveys, wellness, training) as the function scales.

What You’ll Bring

  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through on recurring administrative and compliance work. No task is too small, and things get done right without reminders or check-ins.

  • HRIS Implementation experience, or hands-on Paylocity or Workday experience, is a strong plus.

  • 6-8 years of progressive HR generalist experience, including prior ownership of HR operations without a large team to lean on, and a bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field.

  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, including FMLA and ADA, with familiarity with DC-specific requirements and the ability to navigate state law across our distributed, multi-state workforce.

  • Familiarity with benefits programs (medical, leave, retirement) and hands-on benefits administration experience.

  • Comfort operating with limited guidance in a fast-changing, entrepreneurial environment, with the initiative and project management skills to juggle competing priorities.

Onsite role in our Washington, D.C. office several days a week.

Candidate must be able to submit verification of their legal right to work in the United States, without company sponsorship.

Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000
