To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Human Resources Generalist located in Walker, MI.
Reporting to the Site HR Business Partner, the Senior HR Generalists’ role will be involved with executing HR programs and providing strategic support to the business on all people-related matters, directly contributing to the growth and profitability of the organization.
What a typical day looks like:
- Position will be based in Walker with periodic travel to the Coopersville site (approximately 15 minutes away).
- Employee support and customer service will be the top priority, including daily HR Office Hours and serving as a trusted resource for employees and leaders.
- Conduct new hire surveys, stay interviews, and exit interviews to gather feedback and identify opportunities to improve retention and engagement.
- Provide first-level HR support and coaching to supervisors on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, and performance concerns.
- Support recruiting efforts for technical and professional roles within an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Assist with coordinating training and employee development programs.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in education and experience in a Human Resource related function.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR experience required.
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) or a willingness to obtain certification is strongly preferred.
- Successful candidates will be approachable, action-oriented, and adaptable, with strong verbal and written communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to independently plan, manage, and execute projects while balancing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality, accurate work.
- Experience with Workday is a plus.
