Job DescriptionWho we are looking forAt Bose, we believe people are at the center of everything we do. We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support our Automotive Hub in Detroit - someone who is passionate about delivering a high-quality employee experience while building strong partnerships across the business to deliver results.
In this role, you will work closely with leaders and employees to support the full spectrum of HR activities, helping to drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and operational excellence. What you will be responsible forBusiness Partnership & Employee Experience
- Serve as a trusted HR partner to employees and people leaders within the Detroit Automotive Hub
- Support day-to-day HR needs while helping to enhance the overall employee experience
- Provide guidance on HR policies, programs, and practices with a focus on consistency and fairness
- Act as a connector between the hub and broader HR partners to ensure seamless support and communication.
Talent & Performance Enablement
- Partner with managers to support performance management, development planning, and ongoing feedback practices
- Contribute to talent discussions and help identify opportunities for employee growth and capability building
- Support the execution of key talent processes, including performance cycles and organizational planning
Employee Relations & Workplace Culture
- Assist in addressing employee relations matters, providing thoughtful, balanced support with guidance from senior HR partners
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture
- Help foster open communication and proactive issue resolution
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure effective and consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and employment practices
- Partner with HR Operations to support onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes
- Maintain data accuracy and support reporting and compliance requirements
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Support
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support hiring efforts for the Detroit hub
- Participate in interview and selection processes as needed
- Support workforce planning and organizational changes in partnership with the business
Hub Leadership & Integration
- Help convene and coordinate the Detroit leadership team around local priorities, initiatives, and hub-wide efforts.
- Serve as a key point of contact for hub-specific needs, rhythms, and engagement opportunities.
- Coordinate and help lead Bose Social Impact partnerships with local Detroit-area service organizations
- Partner with leaders and employees to design and deliver hub culture initiatives that strengthen engagement, belonging, and connection.
- Translate enterprise-wide engagement and culture strategies into meaningful, locally resonant experiences for Detroit employees.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- 4-5 years of relevant HR experience (e.g., HR Coordinator, HR Generalist)
- Foundational knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and employee relations
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility
- Effective communicator with sound judgment and discretion
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Interest in culture-building, community engagement, and hub-based leadership roles.
- Demonstrated learning agility and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Preferred Experience
- Experience or interest in the automotive or technology-driven environment.
- Exposure to performance management and employee relations processes
- Familiarity with HR systems and data reporting
