Today, Lonza is a global leader in life sciences operating across five continents. While we work in science, there’s no magic formula to how we do it. Our greatest scientific solution is talented people working together, devising ideas that help businesses to help people. In exchange, we let our people own their careers. Their ideas, big and small, genuinely improve the world. And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.

As a HR Business Partner, you will be working onsite in Geleen and will work closely with managers, team leads and employees across the Netherlands and Italy, influencing key people decisions on performance, engagement, culture and talent development. Your insights will help modernize our HR processes, foster a vibrant work environment and support organizational growth. You will report directly to the Head of HR for Netherlands and Italy. You should aspire a Head of HR role in the near future.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals using data insights.

  • Use digital tools such as Excel, Workday, SAP, Power BI and automation solutions to analyze and optimize HR data and processes.

  • Lead digital transformation initiatives within HR, leveraging AI, analytics tools and automation.

  • Collaborate with HR and business teams to cultivate an engaging, entrepreneurial and inclusive culture.

  • Drive continuous improvement of HR processes through data-driven insights.

  • Contribute to talent development initiatives, mentoring leaders, and assessing potential with innovative approaches.

  • Support change management and reorganization projects, ensuring seamless transitions.

What we’re looking for:

  • A Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Psychology, Law or related fields.

  • Minimum 8 years of HR experience in an international context.

  • Background in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Ambition to progress into a senior leadership role within a short timeframe.

  • Proficient in digital tools including Excel, Workday, SAP, Power BI and automation technologies.

  • Experience working in global companies with complex HR models, including outsourcing and matrix structures.

  • Proven ability to use people analytics and data to inform strategic decisions.

  • Skilled in mentoring, developing talent and assessing potential.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to operate autonomously.

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • High integrity and ethical standards.

  • Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a plus.
