We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Global Trade Compliance in our Venlo office (or other EU locations).

Department Overview:

The Customs & Compliance department is the department responsible for all customs & compliance related activities for Capri Holdings Ltd (CHL) within EMEA, and particularly at the Venlo Distribution Center (VDC). All CHL brands (Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo and Versace) are serviced by the Customs & Compliance department with regards to customs licenses and customs execution. In addition, the department provides compliance support for EU import- and EU export requirements. The Manager Trade Compliance EMEA reports to the Senior Manager Customs & Compliance.

What You’ll Do:

You will lead global trade compliance efforts across all Capri Holdings regions (NA, EMEA, APAC) and brands (Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo, Versace). Your responsibilities will span product and packaging compliance, audit management, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on trade policy development and implementation. A key focus will be identifying and driving process efficiencies.

You’ll serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership and work cross-functionally with teams such as logistics, distribution, production, sourcing, legal, and finance, as well as with external suppliers, logistics providers, government agencies, and auditors.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee global trade compliance, including audits, risk assessments, regulatory inquiries, and corrective action planning.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global trade laws, labeling regulations, and packaging requirements.
  • Monitor and interpret evolving regulations to ensure compliance and prevent downstream supply chain costs.
  • Design and deliver compliance training to new hires and current employees across regions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (legal, CSR, production, tax, logistics, etc.) to develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
  • Represent the company in trade and industry groups to stay ahead of regulatory trends and best practices.
  • Communicate audit results, regulatory updates, and compliance risks to senior management and key stakeholders.

You’ll Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a closely related field
  • 7-10 years’ Trade Compliance experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and management skills
  • Experience in data analytics, auditing, and project management
  • Ability to identify compliance gaps and recommend process improvements for the global supply chain
  • Knowledge of legal and supply chain processes
  • Proven ability to implement procedures and continuous improvement methods
  • Good planning skills and ability to skillfully set priorities
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Pro-active and willingness to show initiative
